I used a Hamster cage that has 2 level's on it the cage is big enough for 2 degu's. it came with a turn wheel chips food treats bottle fluff. it has a metal cage not to thin not to thick, the bottom is plastic but the cage goes far enough down that they can't chew on it. this cage with suplies cost aprox $60.00 canadian. I did consider a glass cage (aquarium) but went this way to see how they like it and no problems yet!
