Actually, I'm far from an idiot. Actually, I'm a professional animal keeper/trainer. (As in I've worked for an AZA accredited zoo for five+ years and I hold a B.S. in biology from a major university) I'm using this as an example. I would never keep a cat (or any animal) confined in a space too small for it. In fact, my house rabbit has a huge cage (4'x8'x4')but still gets his running time in my bunny proofed home. However, the law states that the "dangerous" animal requires a primary enclosure, which could be a room. That doesn't necessarily mean the cat would be confined to that room always - if ever at all. As for outside time...well, yes, I do understand the need for that. I was simply asking for someone's opinion on the new TX law - I wasn't asking for your insults. In the future, if you have concerns about what someone posts here, you might want to e-mail them privately before you bash them in public. You may not know the whole story...(like in this case - i.e. PROFESSIONAL ANIMAL KEEPER) and it will keep you from looking bad.

:: For example, if you keep your cat in your house (or in a room in your house) do you still have to have the fence, or is the outside wall of the house enough?

:Kameron- Don't be an idiot. You would plan on keeping something in a SINGLE room in your house? These types of companions need outside time, if not a place outside they can always get to. Your cat would AT LEAST need free roaming throughout a spacious house to be comfortable, but it's best to build a run for one outside.

:Seriously.
