Taxidermy is a WONDERFUL art. It is a great way to preserve and educate the public. I am a taxidermist, and why I can sit here and somewhat understand someones objection to hunting, I cant fathom why you would object to a tanned fur (the same exact thing as a couch, a car, a wallet, only with fur ) on a foam sculpture of a bobcat, with glass eyes, thats it, there is no other body part used.
I am the owner of a serval and several other pets, I am also a veterinary nurse. I dont kill things just to preserve, but I do like to work on animals that have been hit by cars, or birds that have flew into windows, ect.
Why do you objest to someone selling that? It costs hundreds of dollars, and hours of work to make one look that stunning. I do agree that the whole frozen animals specimans should not be allowed to have a gallery picture, because someone might be offended seeing a dead (whole, unmounted) animal. But to open the page that says TAXIDERMY bobcat, and then getting offended makes no sense to me. Also realize that the anti hunters, are also the anti-exotic pet people. And if you are on this board, you probably dont agree with that.
