Hi, I am starting my research into owning a big cat. I am NOT watin g something like a lion, tiger, or even a couger. I am looking more along the lines of a bobcat, lynx, or a several cat.

I have found a few web sites that talk about these animals in the wild and so on, but little info seems to be availble about their care in captivity. I would like responses from owners of these cats as well as breeders.

I have a 10' X 20' basement that I would want to make into the cats indoor living quarters. It will be a pet, so have the run of the house when I am home (a good percent of the day). It will also have access at any time to an outdoor pen that would be 10' X 10'. Does this sound like a workable set up?

Also, I have heard of people feeding both raw meat and dry food diets. Which is better/eaiser?

I really could use a good web page or book to refer to. As well as info on good breeders. I need some one that knows what they are doing, but has time for customers that need help.

Thanks for any info you can provide me with.

Jacob.

By the way, I am not forgin to hard to keep/ large animals. I have had pets rangeing form dogs and cats to a 15' burmese python and some of the harder to keep reptiles.
