Rodents can't get rabies, simply because of these two reasons: 1)If a rabbid animal were to bit something the size of a chipmonk most likely the smaller animal would die during the attack. 2)Even if a chipmonk did have rabies it could not transmit it by a bite simply because it has a "dry bite" meaning they have no saliva on their teeth to transmit the disease. Accourding to national statistics there has never been a documented rodent rabbies case, EVER. Rest assurred.
