We have just found a baby chipmunk. We believe our cats killed
the mother as we found a larger one dead last week. On the weekend,
we saw a smaller chipmunk on the deck with the cats. He was alive
but his back was wet. We brought the cats in and left the chipmunk
alone. Today (after 3 days) we found him in the garage. He was
eating sunflower seeds, but not moving much. We picked him up with
no problem. His rear right leg drags when he walks. We called a
small animal vet and they said it should heal on its own. He is
currently in a large aquarium with shaving, water, and seeds. When
we initially put him in the aqarium, he walked around, and went
through a toilet paper tube a few times.He is sleeping but
breathing fairly rapidly. What should we do?
