Posted by gillian on August 25, 2001 at 10:59:26: My husband and I just got back from a canoe trip about 3 hours north of Sudbury, Ontario and came across many chippies. One rather persistant chipmunk started with this loud "chatter" at about 6 am and would not let up until about 8 am. What are they doing when they make all that noise?? Hard to believe it was one little chippy!
