with one of my baby gerbils? I posted a message on the Gerbil board 2 days ago, and still no answer?

My baby gerbil has a very bloated belly. He can still run around, but sometimes gets cold. I put him under the heat lamp to warm him.
I tried to manually stimulate his pelvic region in an attempt to relieve him of any gas, or waste.
I saw him urinate and defecate today a little, but his stomach is very swollen?? : (
This has kept me up all night for 3 nites now. I cannot afford to bring him to a vet at this time, at least for another day. And I want to keep him going until he gets proper help.
Did anyone here ever encounter a similar experience with any of your other baby animals??
I'd sincerely appreciate any kind of feedback.

Buzzygirl in B.C.
