: Can they bite?
yes but only if you jam the tip of your finger into their mouth, they have a very small oppening and only a couple flat teeth, they are very uninclined to bite, even wild ones. More so, clawing and scratching will get the best of you!
: How would you properly restrain/hold a wild armadillo?
Holding... hmm try not to flip upside down alot, and their "shoulder area" is a good place to grab, left and right sides with left and right hands. I guess you could say they are about as ocward to pic up as any small cat. Watch out for those claws!
: And What size cage would one need?
I would suggest a cage as big as one could afford and, if you are housing it in an area that is pretty confining I would definately suggest a time of day that they are free to roam, supervised of course!
besides the GIANT armadillo, a 6'X 5' rectangular pen or enclosure should be addequate for any of the other species.
