Kendra, congratulations on picking a wolf dog as a companion. They ARE very difficult animals to train and you will never fully domesticate one. I would advise you to contact candy kitchen wolf rescue(cannot remember site address) and ask them of reputable breeders in your area, however it is easy to transport them within countries. Many breeders try to pass a husky/shepard mix off as a wolfdog so be carefull. I would maybe reccomend getting a malamute as a way to ease you into a wolf dog as they have all the charactaristics of a wolf dog but are more domesticated(in my opinion make the better companion). You will have to get your house ready first, they are escapeartists and you will need at least a 6'high fence all the way around your yard. They CANNOT be left alone for more than 3 hrs as they are pack animals and will become aggressive or depressed. They cannot be restrained by chains and chaining them up is a big NO!
