I don't know what's going on with the baby's withered forepaws. Perhaps a vet can give you advice. I would watch closely to make sure the paws are getting adequate circulation and don't become necrotic. I just wanted to say that if it's getting around alright, it may live reasonably well. I have a three-legged dormouse. It hasn't slowed her down a bit. She dashes around, runs on her wheel, and climbs. She's by far the more active of my two.
