Help: General questions reg dormouse

Hi,

I just got myself a dormouse (I think)
He matches the picture above with CritterHobbyists written by it's side but he/she's got white fur. The tail's furless. He's 2.5 inches big (the tail's about 3 inches). He's got red eyes.
So what exactly is he/she??

Are these guys notorious for any kind of diseases (I'm more concerned about his droppings/urine as I know he doesn't bite.

Also what should I feed him and how often. What about water?

Is there any way to tell his/her age?

He's the cutest thing I've ever seen and I bought him here in India for Rs.30 (50 cents!!)
