Does anyone no the legalities of Dormice in the state of AZ?

I read a list from a breeder in Glendale, AZ that annotated that dormice because they are really a squirrel are not legal to own in the state of AZ...I am not sure if this document is accurate, and need feed back from some breeder out here that are experienced in the shipping of animals.
