Depending on how old the mother is there could be a couple of posibilties. Is this was her first litter of babies then it could have been that she didn't know how to take care of them. Today my mouse just had babies and the same thing happened. Most mothers loose their babies the first time because they dont know what to do. Also if you touched the babies this could also make the mother think that they are a type of human because of the smell on your hands. These are the only two reasons that I can think of. Good luck! If you have any questions you can e-mail me at auhsoj2@hotmail.com and if (P.S If you are having any problems with any fish check out my website @ www.geocities.com/auhsoj2/tropical_fish_1.html
