It can be hard to tell right away if they are but if you see the male doing his thing you should see a fat mommy mouse in about 2 weeks and she will get bigger and bigger untill about 3 and a half to4 weeks, you will see her make a nest and have her babies. For the dog and cat food , yes this is what I use and have had great sucsess in breeding and long lives.One of the best brands is that benuful,The mix of meat and vegies is great. I give my rats and mice blue berrys as a treat it is a good antioxedent.Mice love paper towel rolls and they work well for nesting , she may rip it up but thats ok.When it comes to beding use corn cob or pine ,the pine is good for nesting or just add some hay or pine to the corn cob.
