Nancy Campbell, RVT
Natural Ferret Care
A PetHobbyist.com Chat Week Event
Saturday, December 14, 8 PM Eastern in Critter Chat
Holistic care for dogs and cats is sweeping the world. Natural diets, alternative veterinary medicine, and more are increasingly common for family pets. What about for ferrets? Vet tech Nancy Campbell is the owner of the Natural Ferrets email list as well as a ferret lover and owner. She has been studying natural pet care for over twenty years, and is a certified aromatherapist as well as a registered veterinary technician.
Nancy has three ferrets: Ceaser, age 5, who has lymphoma; Lily, age 3, and Pandora, who was found under her uncle's mobile home last year and is about a year and a half old. She particularly wants to discuss ferret health issues, the amount of ill health so frequently experienced by ferrets today, and its relationship to diet and vaccination practices. Discussion of vaccinations, raw diets, herbology, naturopathy, homeopathy, aromatherapy and other natural pathways is welcome. Nancy considers herself a student of natural care for ferrets rather than an expert, and welcomes those with all levels of experience to join her on this journey.
This chat will also mark the launch of a weekly chat on natural ferret care. Don't miss it!
How to Attend
This event will be held in the CritterChat room. There are two ways to access the chat room. The first is simply to follow this link: CritterChat. There is no registration required and there is nothing to download or install. The room does require you to have java enabled in your browser settings. We strongly suggest you access the room before the chat, so you have time to address any access difficulties you might have. You might want to drop by our any of our regular weekly Critter Chats on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday at 9 PM Eastern time as a test run.
If you don't have java enabled in your browser, or aren't sure but find you cannot access the room, you can access CritterChat by downloading and installing any program that enables you to use Internet Relay Chat. The two most common programs are mIRC for PCs and IRCle for Macs. You can find more information on how to access our room using those programs here: ChatFAQ.
