Well, just maybe it is the individual ferret--- which is what I would hope. It just seemed odd that the females seemed to be very difficult whereas the male was more easily coerced into not biting. I did get him... and heis still biting, bit no where near as ferociously as he did at first. He's also about 5-6 months old so it will take a bit longer than a baby. Oh well - he will be worth it I'm sure! Any one else have a comment? Thanks! Nancy
