This is what I tell everyone under 25 for many reasons, first the cost of owning a ferret (the medical bills will kill you) is prohibitive to many people. Second have you ever smelled a fert? You might hate the smell many people do. How fond are you of the skunk smell? I like it some people don't. Ferrets aren't normally very cuddley, they look like a snuggley little creature but they aren't, not atleast until they get older. The bad thing about geriatic ferts is they are prone to health problems, expensive health problems. You might make a great fert owner and age shouldn't be a factor that keeps one from being a ferret owner so when I say get a cat I really mean think long and hard and don't get it on impulse or I or some person like myself will end uop rescuing your fert and trying to place it in a forever home.
