Nope.. nothing wrong with them. You were just worrying a bit much *L* Don't feel bad I do it too.. I have...12 Gerbils at the moment... 9 adults and 3 pups... All my cages get changed every 2 weeks like I said and everyone's nice and healthy. I've even been able to go away for up to a month if I change the cages right before and right after and have someone come feed. And it doesn't smell bad. The only thing you have to worry about is water bottles leaking. If you have a bad smell.. check for that.. usually causes mold and whatnot.
