Wheels are dangerous for gerbils. Their tails can easily get caught in the spokes and ripped off. If you can still take it back try to do that and get one that doesnt have spokes or what i did was tape a fitted srip of paper around the outside so nothing could go through the dangerous part. ~Abby~
