#1. They go to the bathroom way less.
#2. They are smarter.
#3. They are not as rediculously expensive.

Personally I feel very strongly against hamsters, they go to the bathroom way too much. They are DUMB and retarded!!! Gerbils are smarter than mice and WAY WAY smarter than any moron ugly fat yellow-toothed hamster. Hamsters squeak and growl if mad and scratch. All gerbils do is dive into their bedding and squeak very quietly. I have seen people approach their hamster wanting to get it out and it squeals and bites them. And dumbly walks off the sides of tables and stuff. Gerbils are cute, thin, nice, smart, and can control their disgusting habbits. Hamsters are ugly, fat, mean, stupid, and crap and wet all over their bedding and the handler. I have had a hamster and a gerbil. The gerbil was a better pet for me. Hope it helps,
