Hi! Well I'm Abby. I have 4 gerbils. Corky & Opie are 8 month old brothers. Corky's a lilac & Opie a dove. I also own 2 breeders. A male lilac named Taren who is 5 months old & a cute little female Siamese named El who is 4 months old. I may have told you all that in an earlier post but if I did it was a long time ago and i haven't really been posting so I just thought I'd reintroduce myself. Anyways . . . .
Taren & El are my breeders, but they've never actually had a litter. But I'm not sure why. I see them mating. They've been mating since I got them about 2 and a half months ago. So that's not the problem. But for some reason they still haven't had babies! Why is that? Is it possible to have sterile gerbils?
El is a the smallest gerbil I have. I don't know if thats cause she's the youngest, or the only female, or possibly shes just small! But anyways lately (within the past week) she's started to look a little plumper. She's still not as big as the other 3, but rounder then she was before. I've got my fingers crossed!
Okay well I'm gonna go. ~Abby~
