Thanks for answering! Wish more people used this forum! There is probably another forum out there that is used more. I have been doing a lot of reading on nutrition for guinea pigs and found out many things. A natural fruit, veggie, green and hay diet is better by far then a pellet diet. Especially since pellets contain animal fat and ethoxyquin (sp?) both of which can be very harmful. Small amounts of pellets with fresh hay, fruits and veggies is best. If you are feeding a well balanced diet then vit c supplement shouldnt be needed :)
I also did as much reading and looking at pictures of sexing guneas as well. From what I can tell, they are both boys.
I am beginning to understand alot, EXCEPT their vocalness and the meaning of it all. I cant tell between normal happy squealing and I am afraid squealing??? Also sometimes I hear what sounds like a purr?? They are VERY VERY vocal and sometimes I think they are yelling at each other? They also chase each other arund the cage and do a who can put their head higher (while their noses are touching)?? I wish I understood their language and gestures more.
Thanks, LM
