I wouldnt use any type of cat litter. Especially the kind that clumps. It is harmful to kittens and ferrets etc, so I am assuming for guinea pigs (who virtually eat everything) it is a no no. I dont know what you could use? I am new to this all. I do have MANY other animals, including 3 cats, a dog, 7 lizards and of course the 2 guineas. But when it comes to guineas, I am just learning! I did have a guinea pig named whiskers when I was younger but its hard to remember now :(

I wish I could help more! I do know how messy they can get. Mine are just little itsy babies and they trashed their cage in 4 days! I cant imagine how often I am going to have to clean it when they are adults! Yikes!!!!! Take care, LindsayMarie
