Im in Australia, so I can get the chamomile tea but probably not the ointment. The guinea pig has been fine now for about a week, no more scratching or biting, and heaps of new skin has now grown back. I was told to apply peroxide by a vet and about 3 other knowledgeable people. it doesnt seem to worry him. he was on antibiotics for 3 days (powder medicine mixed in water), which cleared the abscess pocket and his cold (was sniffling and lethargic) in about a week, maybe less. The scab has now gone down to about 1/5th of its actual size. As long as i keep it dry i have no worries, i just wanted some ideas on how to speed it up, but its working so theres really no problem. as long as my pig is happy, im happy, and he's back to his old tricks ;)
Thanks again, i will try the chamomile tea. i would rather use it because its natural than the peroxide but its been doing the job fine. ill give chamomile a shot.

Carlee.
