Definitely visit GuineaLynx. There are many knowlegeable people there.

What have they been able to tell you about the kidney problems? Another source of kidney trouble (stones) for GPs can come from eating alfalfa. As adults, they need to be on timothy-based pellets (except when pregnant or nursing). So far, the only company that I know about that has timothy based pellets is Oxbow Hay. They have alfalfa formula too, but you want the one called Cavy Cuisine. What are your pellets made out of? (should say on the bag. Or what company makes them?)

Here is some hope for your pig -- http://www.oginet.com/pgurney/kidneys.htm

If you don't have their address, here is GuineaLynx -- http://www.guinealynx.info/forums/
