There is a special spray for small animals to treat against fleas & such. I am posting a link to PetsMart's site so u can see what it looks like. I, on the other hand, asked my vet about this and he said u can use regular cat & dog spray, but use it correctly: Put a drop of liquid spray on a Q-tip and gentley stroke your hamster with it, going against hair-growth. Dip the Q-tip again when it seems dry after a few strokes. Put the liquid on every part of your hamster, including their tummy! Try to avoid putting it around the eyes & mouth. ALSO VERY IMPORTANT - make sure the spary you are using isn't toxic, coz the hamsters surely will try to lick themselves after this treatment. This is what I have done for my baby hamsters, and surely after a day they didn't scrath anymore and are living flea-free life now! :) I hope I could help

:I have a one year old teddy bear hamster who has gotten fleas from my cats. I just treated my cats with the Hartz liquid you put on the back of the neck....and also put flea powder on carpet. What do I do for my hamster??????
