Mucus-like waste

2 weeks ago I bought 2 7-week-old hedgehogs from a breeder. They eat, drink and are quite active when they are out of their cage. The only thing that is disturbing is their waste is very mucus-like and sometimes green (including BRIGHT green). When I purchased them I bought the food that they were used to and mixed it with other recommended hedgehog food. I've been mixing the two types of food, but they always reject the food they were raised on and selectively pick out the other. I also bought high-protein suppliments for them, but they don't seem to have much interest in those. Also, I am using pine bedding and they have a litter box with non-clumping kitty litter in their cage.

Do you have any idea if anything is wrong and what I can try to remedy the situation if there is a problem? Please let me know, I am concerned for their health.

Thanks!
