To compare the smell level to a guinea pig... at one point, we had 7 guinea pigs and 70 hedgehogs. In 2 days, the 7 guinea pigs smelled worse than the 70 hedgehogs did after a week. If your friend's hedgies are smelly, it's likely dietary.
