If all else fails, get a companion Hedgie and put both in a large enclosure. I have found this to work more than once.

Hi Greg,
: Have you noticed your hedgie loosing some quills? He could be quilling which is a normal part of being a baby hedgie.. they loose the old and grow the new.. and the get grumpy during this time.. Dont give up on the little guy.. keep handling him as you normally would
