wow.....zanzabar, our hedgie, is 5 and in GREAT shape.

he was an educational animal at the milwaukee county zoo (where my girlfriend worked) and he was retired last year...when she left, she took him with.

anyways, i've heard 5-10 years is normal, so these lower expectancy rates suprise (and scare/sadden) me.

anyways, we just got back from the vet last week (who is very well known for her work with exotics - Dr. Teresa Bradley) and he's in tip-top shape, although a little thin from his 3 hours of running on his wheel every night.
