I am new also. I am waiting for the hedgehog convention in niagara falls before I get one. I found a book at barnes and noble that really helped me out a lot. It is a common book about 6inX4in and can be found at lots of pet stores also. It has a nice color photo front with b/w drawings and color pics inside. I don't have it with me right now, but I'm sure you can find it. It seems as if it is a series of books for the care of various small pets. I thought it was well written and informative.
If you can't find it at a book store or pet store, e-mail me. It really helped put everything together at my fingertips.
