There is actually still some question as to zorses being fertile. No one has bred a stud.
I have a coming three year old zorse mare. I have found her to be easy to train and very intelligent. We are walk, trot, and cantering trails. The best training methods that I have found are mule training. Like a mule you can't use force, you must make friends, and you can't let them push you around.
They are not for the first time horse owner. For most people with solid horse training knowledge a zorse will be a wonderful choice.
Beware of the hybrids that have gone though multiple homes. Often they are bought by hobbyists looking for decorations, who find themselves with an animal they can't handle. Then the unfortunate hybrid goes to auction. I believe that they are like mules and need a good start. Retraining would require much skill and patience, just like a mule.

: Yes, zorses are infertile like mules. As for temperments and training, I've also been wondering about that myself

: : Hi I was wondering if anyone who owns zorses could give me an honest answer on zorse temperment and training. Do you train them the same way you would a horse? I've heard breeders say they are wonderful to train and trainers say that they are nightmare.... Of course I've heard the same about Arabs, and I have one who is an awesome little gelding. I was also wondering if zorses are infertile?
