I, and several other zebra owners, have been wondering if zebras are susceptible to many of the common equine diseases or are they naturally immune. We have been vaccinating our zebra for all the same things we vaccinate our horses for but it often leaves me wondering if we really NEED to put a zebra through the stress and trauma.
Does any one know first hand of which diseases zebras have been diagnosed with or died from? Has a zebra ever been tested EIA positive? Has one been diagnosed with WNV? Flu? Rhino? EHV?
