I'm in the same situation,but with the genders reversed.I'm
very sure that a bigger cage would solve the problem,but
you should watch the animals carefully for a day or two just
to be sure no problems arise.That is,if both animals are of
breeding/adult age.If not,house them seperatly to be sure
that they do not mate prematurely or kill each other.Hope I
helped,I've said as much as a 14 year old odd pet enthusiest
can.
