Hi,
my son & I have an oppossum & I need to know what is the best diet for him. His name is Percy, & I heard that if fed mainly cat food you may have to contend with metobolic bone disease. How often do other keepers feed their oppossums? What percent fruits & veggies, what percent meats? Do they drink out of a water bottle? Mine does but if thats all he has to drink from, he doesn't seem to drink as much. I keep a pan of water in his cage ( it's outside in the shade) for him to deficate in, in an effort to try to teach him to become "house broken". Also, I don't think he's getting enough exorcise because I noticed tonight that he's a little wobbly in his hind legs as he's walking around the house.
Any thoughts or comments would be welcome, especially regarding diet. Thanks,
Paul Edwards
