Ok, before i ask my question, let me just make something clear:
(cuz i know that a lot of you will lecture people about being responsible breeders when they ask something, without answering the question) I did TONS and TONS of research before i decided to breed my mice, the mice i chose to breed are very healthy, in great condition, I know not to breed them too young, i have some potential adopters for the babies, and even if know one takes some of them, i will still be able to take care of all of them, no matter how many, bla bla bla. OK i just wanted to straighten that out. :) Now, on to the question:
some people will leave the father mouse in with the female while she is pregnant and keep him with her till after the the pups are born, on the theory that he will be a great "dad". But, i know that he will mate with her soon after she gives birth. I don't want to put too much strain on her (ecspecially since it's her first litter). What i want to know is, what do you guys do?
have any of you left dad with the mom?
