:I had my female mice togeather and had one female that after she gave birth started trying to kill the babies. I took her out and let the other two females raise her babies. I tried to put her back into the other girls cage when the babies where about 4-5 weeks old and the older mice attacked her, so I took her out again. I have found out one I thought was female is male and I don't know who his mother is and if he has impregnanted his own mother. I have sepprated him from the girls but they are 8 weeks old. I tried putting two girls in with the female that didn't get along with the other older females and the young girls and the old outcast get along great will it be ok to leave the three girls togeather and put the boy by himself or will he be lonely? I really don't want all my girls to be pregnant. If he did breed his mother will the babies be ok?

Yes boys will fight if put together, but I keep five boys together and they sometimes fight, but they are also good friends, I think you should get him a friend or two. If you keep him alone, then I am guessing he won't be an very happy mouse.
