I believe the rule is against importing a primate "as a pet" or for sale. I think primates CAN be imported for "display purpopses," like taking them to cheer up the elderly or for viewing by the public (as in a zoo). IF that is true, could you, or a member of your family living here in the United States, start a business? The business, of course, would be a private zoo or an entertaining organization for chairity. I do not know if that would work, or if I am even correct about the law. But if my memory of the law is correct, maybe a "thinking outside of the box" solution would work.
