If you live in the state of California, as I do, It is against the law to own or harbor them in in your possession. The only way for you to be able to own them is to have permits that is for the use of research or education purposes only. You must prove the who what when where and how you plan do go about doing it and prove your credentials tp satify them of your extensive knowledge on the primate/s. If you are to do lab tests on them then you must prove what facility you work at and how long you have been there. Then the primate ust live there and no where other than there. The next thing is if you own and run a rescue service and majority of the money comes out of your pocket and that from donations. You must prove your permit that you are allowed to keep them and live in remote areas where the public CANNOT come into contact in case of an escape.
I can go on but I think ou get the point, we aren't going to be able to own it,,........Period.
