Before we got our two saddleback tamarins, I found several people who had successfully raised a baby into a tame adult. The trick is to get an animal LESS THAN six months old. Our two animals are both a little over one year old. Thanks to some tools and advice from www.metromonkey.com , they are still tame. I was told that it is next to impossible to have a tame pair of adult, mating tamarins - that like many parrots, they would cease to be tame when mating began. Well, they are getting close to that point, and so far, so good. If you are interested, photos of our animals are posted on http://groups.msn.com/MonkeyMattersPhotos/shoebox.msnw?albumlist=1 (photo album name - "Mountains & Forests").
