To sex your prairie dog you look for the "gap" between the anus and the sex organs. A male PD will have a gap of about 1/2 inch, a female will have virtually no space :-) If you need more help let me know. You can always take a photo of him/her and send it to me and I'll try and sex it for you too if you are still unsure :-)
