2 PD pups questions and houseing with Degus

Well lets see I have 2 pups Sunshine (female) and Chubby (male...which I just found out today...was told it was another female), I have just a couple of questions.
My main question is as long as my PDs and Degus get along can I or would anyone advise against housing them together. They both have the same dietary needs so I am not worried about that and their cage that I built is large enough for all of them. I don't plan on housing them together when the PDs get in their Ruts because they are territoriale but the Degus are not. They have been housed together now for over a week and do not mind each other. Mainly they ignore each other the Degus sleep together and the PDs sleep together. When they are all awake they just go about their own buisness. I have been advised already by one lady that while the PDs are pups its ok but after that it would be a lot safer just to let them have floor time together.
Seeing as how I just discovered Danika is indeed a male and now has become Cubby. Is it absolutely a must the get them fixed if I don't mind them having pups of their own or them being sassy a couple of months out of the year. They are not from the same clutch and are both about the same age. Sunshine is a month or two younger. And about how much does it cost to get them fixed a male and female.
I bought praire dog delight and they don't seem to really be eating it. They eat on the timothy hay, wheat chex and Natures Reciepe Allergy Vegatarian Formula Dog Food, but not the PD Delight. Should I give them more time to see if they eat it more or try some thing else, they do eat it just not a lot. (They were fed ferret food and apple slices and dog biscuits while at the pet shop). Also they were given water in a bowl at the pet shop and I would prefer to use a water bottle. I have both in their cage right now, but they don't use the water bottle which the Degus use and I was hopeing they would learn from them but they aren't catching on, is there any other way to get them to switch to the water bottle that I haven't tried because they do tend to make a mess with the water in the bowl.
Is it safe to let them take dust baths like my Degus do because I put the Degus bath in their cage and Sunshine loved it (Chubby couldn't fit in it) she made a huge mess and emptyed most of the dust out of their bath house but loved it none the less.
When should I start harness training them?????
Well I guess that is enough questions for now.! lol

All the help would be a preciated because I love Chubby and Sunshine and strive to make their lives as enjoyable as mine and for them to live long in our family life!!
