Shark,
It would be best for the rabbits if you just buy two large dog pens. Any cage for animals is generally too small. For the first day/night of the rabbit(s) being home, just put them in their pen and leave them alone. You have to let them adjust to their surroundings in their own time.
Also, there's no garauntee that since these two rabbits are male/female, that they will bond. Bonding is a very hard procedure when it comes to rabbits - since they're so territorial. I would suggest you get one rabbit and get a feel for them and their care before completely diving in and getting two.
When it comes to letting the bun(s) out at night and when you're gone - even people who have had house rabbits for years usually put their rabbits in a secure cage/pen/room when they're not there to supervise. Rabbits will find things to get into mischief that you didn't even consider - BELIEVE ME! :)
Once again, I must stress this.. rabbits are harder to take care of then what you have read. What you're reading about is people who are experienced with rabbits and know exactly how to take care of them. No matter how much you read, most of the things your new rabbit(s) will do, will suprise you. I highly suggest adopting one, and if in a few months you still feel like you can handle twice the work, love, and bills, then go ahead and adopt. But for now, I suggest you adopt one and see how it works out.
