Do you mean the smell of his marking or him actually marking? When it comes to smell, there really isn't ay distinct scent to a rat's marking. All Bi-Odor does is make the smell of the urine less overpowering. But, considering rats are so small and don't produce urine in overwhelming amounts, I really don't see any point to using Bi-Odor. You can try it though, it wouldn't hurt. With male rats though, they have a natural instinct to want to claim everything with their scent - as they're walking around in a new place or on a new surface, they'll leave little dots of urine every few paces. Usually if you drape an old sheet or towel down, it'll take care of this problem.
