Hi,
My boyfriend's rabbit had babies and about a month ago I took one of the babies when he was about 9 weeks old. He's now about 3 months old and he is a mini rex, brown and white. My bf's male rabbit (the father) started getting a crusty white fungus looking stuff all over his face, feet, ears etc (they are not around eachother as we live in diff houses). About 2 weeks ago, I noticed that my rabbit looked like he was losing hair on his nose. I could see white when his nose is a dark brown. Now, I can tell that it's starting to build up with a white crust. I have no clue what it is but as of right now I only see it on his nose. His appetite is excellent, and he doesn't appear to be sick. I am afraid that he is getting what my bf's male rabbit has and we're not sure what it is. My rabbit is outside in a wire cage but he is completely covered by a wood enclosure except for the front. He is completely sheltered from rain and sun and no rain blows in the cage and he is about 4 feet off the ground. I provide frozen water bottles for hot days and he gets a good diet of carrots, some lettuce here and there and rabbit food with protein. Does anyone know what this crusty white stuff all over his nose is??
Thanks
Lisa
