I have just purchased 2 female rats and we are still learning from each other! I have a couple of questions to post though- Are bananas and oranges good treats for them? Mine can't get enough, especially oranges. What other kinds of food will they like if it shouldn't be fruits? How often can I give them treats- right now I am trying to teach them their names and use fruits and yogurt/cheese treats I found at the local pet store.
The other question I have pertains to my dogs. One of my dogs (a boxer)only shows a little interest and then goes about her own business. The other (a terrier mix) is a whole other story. I know that terriers are bred to go after small animals- will she ever get over the whining and carrying on around their cage?
If there are any other tips or suggestions I should have as a new rat owner please feel free to let me in on your secrets!
Thanks
