I went to the rescue to adopt yesterday. I had one male in particular in mind, but when I arrived I found out he had a respiratory infection, and due to his major aversion to oral meds, was getting injections. I talked to the rescuer and we decided that I would call back on saturday, and if he was doing better I would pick him up NEXT Monday.
Well, of course I wanted him to have a companion, and they had a group of spayed females, so I thought I would at least pick her up. However the rescuer made the mistake *or wise decision* :) to put all FOUR of them in my arms at once.
Well, I'm a sap. It's shocking I didn't end up getting all four, but I DID walk out with two and with an adoption application pending on my male.
They are the sweetest little things! Saidee is a champagne, so light in color you can't tell she's not a white, really, until you stick her next to her sister, Starr, who is a REW. Both bruxed like mad in my arms, even though they were being squished beneath their siblings, and they even immediately converted my sister to Rodentism, though she has heretofore claimed to hate rats.
I love them both to death already. I'm fighting with myself right now not to sneak them both into work! *giggle*
