First of all, almost all rats have Myco, so transmitting Myco is really non issue with pet rats. The only ones that won't have Myco would be lab rats living in controlled environment and are born using C-section, because usually rats get Myco either from the birth canal of an infected mother or by exposure.
Couple of questions. How long have your rat been sick? What meds were he on and for how long?
If it's just chronic myco then he can probably live with new rats without a problem. It's tricky, because Myco is different than most other bacteria, but basically if this is nothing more than chronic myco he won't get new rats sick.
