Hi,

I've never heard of anything like that. Offhand it is possible it could have been a liver or intestinal fluke of some sort or maybe a tape worm. I'm not sure. I probably would not worry too much about the guinea pig unless it's been hanging out on the floor where the mice has been seen. I'll see if I can't find any more info and post it here later.
